John A. Mavricos

John has tried cases since 1979 in both the state and federal courts. His practice has included representing parties in business and commercial litigation matters, including the resolution of disputes between stockholders and partners. He has handled employment matters and other claims arising out of employment relationships. John has tried copyright, trademark and intellectual property disputes in both state and federal courts. His experience includes the litigation of probate matters including will contests and fiduciary responsibility claims. John has tried personal injury cases, product liability and other tort claims for plaintiffs, defendants and insurers.

John is a 1976 cum laude graduate of Williams College and a 1979 graduate of the National Law Center of the George Washington University, where he was Co-Editor of the Consumer Protection Reporting Service. He is a Fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation, a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association where he has been a member of the Bench Bar Committee and the Committee on Professional Ethics. As a member of the Worcester County Bar Association he has chaired the Superior Court and Trial Practice Sections. John has also served as a director of the Legal Assistance Corporation of Central Massachusetts, WICN Public Radio, Inc., the Worcester Historical Society, James Monroe Wire and Cable Corporation, and a Barrister of the American Inns of Court. As a panelist, John has lectured on various aspects of trial practice for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and the Worcester County Bar Association. Commencing in 2004 John has been named as a Massachusetts "Super Lawyer" by a joint project of Law & Politics Magazine and Boston Magazine. He has obtained Martindale Hubbell's highest rating for a lawyer, AV, as determined by his peers.
