
Stuart was Tax Partner for the law firm of Mountain, Dearborn & Whiting LLP for fourteen years before assuming the same role for Christopher, Hays, Wojcik & Mavricos LLP on January 3, 2011. He was previously a Director of the law firm of Fletcher, Tilton & Whipple, P.C., for eleven years and investment tax counsel for two major insurance companies for the preceding ten years.
After graduating from Cornell University in 1965, Stuart received his Juris Doctor from Fordham University in 1968 and a Master of Laws Degree in Taxation from New York University in 1970. He then served three years as an Attorney-Advisor to the Late Honorable John Kern and the Honorable Theodore Tannenwald, Jr., both judges on the United States Tax Court.
Stuart is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Connecticut and the District of Columbia, as well as the United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court. His peers have elected him to membership in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Worcester County Bar Association, as well.
Stuart concentrates his practice in the areas of business planning, estate planning, trust and estate administration, elder law and state and federal taxation.
